Shawn Marion scored 29 points and Canada's Steve Nash added 15 and 13 assists as the Phoenix Suns spoiled Reggie Miller's night with a 114-104 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Thursday.

Miller had his No. 31 retired during a halftime ceremony. He spent all 18 National Basketball Association seasons of his career with Pacers, becoming the NBA's all-time leader with 2,560 3-pointers before retiring at the end of last season.

The sharpshooter was a five-time All-Star and recognized as one of the best clutch players in league.

However, if Indiana had any extra motivation, it did not show as Phoenix improved to 1-2 on a five-game road trip after losing by an average of 30 points in the first two contests of the trek.
