Bill Murray teams up with American auteur Jim Jarmusch for this thoughtful drama which is the perfect companion piece to Sofia Coppola's Lost In Translation. Bill plays Don Johnston, an eternal Don Juan who has gone through life with a series of women who he never fully understands and certainly don't understand him, especially his lack of desire to tie the knot or have kids.

When his latest lady (Julie Delpy) leaves him because their relationship isn't moving to the next level, it coincides with the receipt of a letter from an ex-lover informing him he has a teenage son who is looking for him. The letter barely stirs the forlorn Don out of his melancholic inertia, but it gets his pal Winston (Jeffrey Wright), a budding detective-novel writer, going. Winston turns the mystery of the child's mother into a whodunit and plans a road trip for Don to visit his exes to discover who she is.

This film from Jarmusch, best known for Dead Man and Night On Earth, is a sweet, reflective tale. There's a lot of humour and spot-on observation. Murray is fantastic, expressing in one brief look that his character knows his life has no meaning. He's supported by a host of fantastic co-stars - Sharon Stone as a brassy blonde who has taught her teenage daughter everything she knows, Tilda Swinton as a pissed-off hick, Frances Conroy as a sensitive soul and Faye Dunaway as an animal communicator.

Over all i find it as a good Movie Smile
