Reese Witherspoon might have her day of reckoning at Paramount Pictures. The actress is developing the dramatic thriller "The Reckoning" through her Type A Films shingle as a possible starring vehicle.

Based on a book by Jeff Long, the story centres on a photojournalist who arrives in Cambodia to cover the U.S. military search for the remains of an American pilot shot down during the Vietnam War. The book was published by Atria in 2004. Ted Tally ("Red Dragon," "The Silence of the Lambs") penned the screenplay, which is out to directors.

Witherspoon returns to theatres on November 18 in the Johnny Cash biopic "Walk the Line."

She's one of the few HollyWood actresses who is wise beyond her years to choose great movie roles.

I read that book, I liked it a great deal. I don't think the movie will be able to live up to the book though, but I still would like to see it. I thought that "Walk the Line" movie was about Elvis, but of course I would go straight to him because I've never heard of johnny cash before.

The movie 'Walk the line' should win the oscar for 'best picture' and 'best actor' for Jacquin Phoenix because like the movie 'Ray', he really makes the Johnny Cash character alive and did all the singing for the movie. It's really amazing how talented he is. I'm kind of disppointed that he's not one of the guys GQ magazine choose for its cover for 'men of the year'.
