Mischa Barton, the sexy star of American teen series The OC, has given her career a cheeky lift by accidentally exposing herself in last week's episode screened in the US.

But while you'd expect most fans to be delighted with such a slip, complaints from others have flooded the floors of show bosses, according to the New York Post. And some fools have even felt the need to lodge complaints with the Federal Communications Commission. The incident in question involves a scene in which one of the actress's nipples reportedly slips out of her pyjamas while she is getting out of bed.

Hardly a crime you might say, and a spokesperson for The OC's network, Fox, has dismissed the talk, saying: 'We are not aware of any complaint being filed.'

Sexy Mischa, who plays unstable teen Marissa Cooper in the hit rich kid drama, has been the subject of a certain amount of lewd conversation of late. Recently it was reported that at a celebrity bash, Mischa's publicist told her to bed Leonardo DiCaprio, in order to further her career. The PR guru allegedly said when they saw The Aviator star: 'For the sake of your career, go and sleep with that man.'

However, Mischa, 19, seems to want to do her job the right way, as she laughed off the offer - though partly because she thought he was too old.

I didn't catch that scene in the episode but the outfits that Misha Barton wear on "The OC" are very, shall I say, open-chested? So I'm not surprised if she accidentally or intentionally bare her breast.
