Madge takes a leaf from Goldfrapp's dirty disco book and delivers an album packed with dancefloor classics that span the decades, paying tribute to the Pet Shop Boys, Jackson 5 and Abba in particular on latest single Hung Up. Even the mother of reinvention gets a look-in herself, in How High, which harks back to her Papa Don't Preach days, and Isaac, which bears a striking similarity to Frozen. These days Madonna seems to embrace trends more than create them, but it still hasn't stopped her from making her best album in years.
