Fox has bought a comedy pilot it originally developed four years ago but decided not to turn into a series.

Becoming Glen centers on a successful forty-something man who looks back at 1994, when he was a 32-year-old slacker living with his parents and spending all his time lying on the couch watching TV.

Fox first ordered the project, starring Johnny Galecki (Roseanne), during the 2001-02 development season. It didn't make the cut but gained an instant cult status and attracted the attention of Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane, who joined Glen creator Ricky Blitt to develop a new version.
Meanwhile, ABC has given the go-ahead to an untitled comedy pilot from writer/actor Danny Comden. It centers on an egotistical real estate agent who decides to change his life after realizing that he hates who he has become.

Comden is probably best known for writing, directing and co-starring in the indie Sol Goode. His recent feature credits include Breakin' All the Rules and Pretty Persuasion.
