Chinese TV audiences will get a big-gulp serving of Desperate Housewives when the saucy suburban soap debuts there Monday.

The series will be dubbed into Mandarin and air on state-run broadcaster CCTV as three back-to-back episodes per night, with the entire first season running in one week.

Desperate Housewives tells the story of a group of saucy women who live in a fictional California suburb. Along with everyday problems like crazy kids, family feuds, and racy romances, the ladies often find themselves in mysterious situations involving murder most foul. The show premiered in 2004 and, along with sci-fi drama Lost, was an immediate hit, consistently winning its Sunday night time slot and helping ABC become a dominant network force.
