Saucy novelist Jackie Collins is wooing singer Will Young with sexy messages, despite his well-publicised homosexuality.

Hollywood Wives author Collins became determined to romance the former Pop Idol star after falling in love with his music.

The 66-year-old, whose sister is Hollywood star Joan Collins, recently sent a signed copy of her latest release Lovers + Players to Young with a cheeky missive tucked in the sleeve.

The note read: "I'm a big admirer of yours and I love your number one song Leave Right Now. But what I want to know is, are you a lover or a player, Will?"
