When The Strokes first burst onto the scene with 'Is This It' in 2001 they were lauded as the saviours of indie rock naturally the hype bubble had to burst, and 2003's 'Room on Fire' wasn't quite so well received. Now with their third album they have nothing to prove, and it makes for much a more interesting listen. It's still ummistakably The Strokes, with their louche attitude and incredibly catchy hooks, but now with the maturity of a band that has been through the music industry mill and survived.

Single 'Juicebox' is refreshingly punky, showing that they are not afraid to depart from the sound they are known for. It's a little on the long side at 14 tracks, but definitely a grower.
