These Foolish Things

Wannabe actress Diana (Zoe Tapper) dreams of becoming a stage star like the mother she lost so ups sticks and moves to London. There she hooks up with some other youngins who are also trying to break into the business. When her playwright boyfriend Robin (David Leon) gets a big break and has to leave the city, Diana turns to director Christopher (Andrew Lincoln) for comfort and things gets very complicated indeed.

Despite some good scenes, there's way too much plot shoved into the running time and, frankly, the whole thing is pretty dull and very cheesy. It's also hard to become emotionally involved. However, it is well made and the 1930s London setting gives some pleasure.
