Glam novelist turned murderess Catherine Tramell (Sharon Stone) has relocated from San Fran to London where she's up to her usual racy no good tricks. After she's involved in the death of a football star (Stan Collymore) a psychologist is called in to give his prognosis. Dr Michael Glass (David Morrisey) classifies Catherine a possible 'risk addict'. Despite not going down for the death, she voluntarily becomes one of Glass' patients. And then starts shagging him. More people start dropping off but will the dimwit doc realise that his risk addict diagnosis was correct?

If you can ignore that and a whole host of other incredulities, you'll still not get much pleasure out of this erotic thriller. There are a couple of major hitches: the plot is more plodding than thrilling andů it's not erotic in the least. It's also quite dull and uninventive. It is pretty amusing, though. Some of the dialogue is laughably bad and Stone is so over the top sexy she's almost a caricature of herself in the 1992 original.

Morrissey is a great actor but he seems as confused as everyone else is about why he was cast as Stone's lover and why her character would fancy his. Offering impressive support is Charlotte Rampling, as his colleague, and David Thewlis as a detective.
